Ferric Mycobactin J

Ferric Mycobactin J is an iron chelated substance used
as a supplement in laboratory culture media as a growth promoter for the isolation of mycobactin dependent Mycobacterium sp. Incorporation of Ferric Mycobactin J into culture medium enables the cultivation of Mycobacterium avium ssp. paratuberculosis (MAP) in approximately 6 to 8 weeks, and enhances the growth of fastidious strains of Mycobacterium sp., which otherwise could not be isolated.

Paratuberculosis Protoplasmic Antigen (PPA)

The success of Allied's ELISA and AGID tests can be attributed to our superior Paratuberculosis Protoplasmic Antigen (PPA).  It is filter-sterilized and lyophilized.  This antigen is the foundation of several Paratuberculosis testing programs around the world.

Positive and Negative Control Reagent

The Bovine, Caprine, and Ovine Positive Control Reagents are sera obtained from adult animals confirmed para-tuberculosis positive by culture and necropsy.  These products are sterile-filtered and lyophilized.  They are intended for use as positive controls in ELISA and AGID against Allied PPA antigen.

Negative Control Reagents for Bovine, Caprine, and Ovine are also available.

Absorben (M. phlei)

Absorben is a whole-cell, heat-killed, lyophilized Mycobacterium phlei in 10 mg aliquots. Used to absorb test sera prior to testing with ELISA.  The use of this product eliminates certain nonspecific cross-reacting antibodies.  When reconstituted, the reagent will absorb an equal volume of serum.
